HOWARD STREET CARNAVAL 2025
On Saturday, May 16, just before noon, Howard Street comes alive with the 3rd Annual Howard Street Carnaval. The celebration begins with a vibrant grand parade starting at Paulina & Jonquil, traveling south to Howard, then east to Ashland. Expect dazzling costumes, our grand marshal float, and powerful dance performances honoring African and Caribbean folklore and contemporary culture—set to nonstop rhythms from live bands and DJs along the route.
The festivities continue at Willye B. White Park with an energetic concert featuring regional and local African and Caribbean artists and DJs. Enjoy reggae, afrobeats, soca, and dancehall, alongside authentic food vendors serving Caribbean and African favorites. The main stage will be under a heated tent for comfort and visibility, with indoor access to the field house if needed—ensuring an immersive cultural experience rain or shine.
